A CONCERT OF CLASSICAL SACRED MASTERPIECES, TRADITIONAL MUSIC AND OPERA FAVOURITES
The Johannesburg WA Mozart Choir and Orchestra (WAM) is proud to present a concert of exquisite classical music at 15:00 on 12 May 2019 in the Linder Auditorium.
We are delighted that soprano Hanli Stapela and Mezzo-Soprano Aukse Trinkunaite will join Neil Stander (tenor) and Dirk Venter (bass) in our performance of Mozart's breathtaking Missa Solemnis in C K337, under the leadership of our Musical Director, Carel-Johan de Graaff.
Also included in this exciting programme are Gabriel Fauré's Cantique de Jean Racine, Beethoven's Welten Singen from his oratorio The Mount of Olives (often performed in English as 'Alleluia') and Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, to be performed with choral sections.
Colla Voce (the South Gauteng Youth Choir) will present a few works from their repertoire.
